A Note from your
CMSA President

                   October is an exciting month for Case Managers as we celebrate Case Management Week the theme is “ Exceptional People, Exceptional Care.” I hope you join me in celebrating all of the Case Managers you come in contact with. I myself have been doing this for a long while and after years of bedside nursing; have found this part of nursing often the most rewarding.  Case Managers are patient and family advocates first and foremost , resource for patients, families and staff. We focus on post care needs to assist with providing the best plan of need for the patient. I am proud to be a Case Manager and proud of the Case Managers that work so hard for their patients. Thank you all for all you do.
                If you have not been on the CMSA.org website you should visit it. Many changes and upgrades have been made. There is an area about public policy which is what our CMSA members assist with when they go to Washington and meet in DC. Our own Olivia Westbrook went to represent CMSA Middle Tn Chapter and had many good things to say about our CMSA organization. This organization is a platform that can help you if you want to make changes in healthcare. Join up with CMSA and become connected.
