A Note from your
​CMSA President

 Merry May to all. Here at Centennial we have been celebrating Nurse’s week last week and Hospital week this week. I hope you are all remembering to celebrate these dates with all of your contacts and coworkers. I myself have been in the Nursing field for more years than I want to admit and have seen many, many changes in Nursing and Healthcare in general. Was a time that the only hospitals that were large were teaching hospitals. Now in Nashville alone we have hospitals that are large and are adding more area to care for patients. That means we are not only more populated but have more sick patients than ever as the baby boomers become elderly. Resources are becoming more and more strained financially and staff availability. Because of this it is so important we work together to continue to find ways to serve our patients/clients. CMSA is just one way to reach out to each other for resources and networking. I am so thankful for all of our communities of Home Health, DME companies,  Palliative Care, Hospice, Skilled/long-term Nursing facilities, acute care Rehabs,  outpatient Rehabs, and each other. We are all dedicated to helping patients and that is what makes us great. Pat yourself on the back for the superb jobs you do.
        I am also thankful for our sponsors and all of the support you contribute. Our individual members are such an important part of what CMSA is about and I want to thank all of you. I look forward to seeing each of you at our next lunch and learn May 18,2016.
