A Note from your President

Fall is here and October is a special month for Case Managers.  Case Management Week is October 12th through October 18, 2014.  Please take time to celebrate and thank those that work so hard to advocate for patients and their needs in healthcare.  Have you ever asked a Case Manager why they became a Case Manager and what is rewarding to them?  Try it sometime, you might hear interesting stories.  I became a Case Manager because as a nurse I wanted to make a difference in the continuity of care for the patients I was caring for.  What I find so rewarding as a Case Manager is the thank you I get from patients and families when I am able to secure a discharge plan that is the best plan for the patient.

Come join us for our usual Lunch and Learn on October 15, 2014.  Unfortunately our presenters will not be able to accommodate CEUs.  I look forward to seeing you all.
