​CMSA President

       Wow, 2017 already. I hope all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year. I am looking forward to seeing you all January 18,2017 for our first lunch and learn of the year. Since this is the beginning of a new year I want to take this opportunity to invite you all to become individual member and sponsors. To those that were so available as sponsors last year I want to thank you for all of your support and looking forward to a new year working with you again. We are trying hard to find subjects to learn about that are out of the norm but relevant to each of us as Case Managers, Social Worker, Vendors. Randy, Elizabeth and Julie work hard networking with you and other companies/organizations and I am so thankful for their skills, professionalism, care and support for our chapter. Olivia is a new but very important board member that uses her skills as a Social Worker and networks with you all for inpatient discharge needs, she is a support to her fellow Social Workers and a great supporter of CMSA. Our administrative support comes from Tiffany, without her this newsletter would not be sent out and our web page not updated. She works hard behind the scenes to keep you all updated. As your President I would be lost without the board members. If you would like to be involved with CMSA Middle Tn Chapter board, please let any of us on the board know.

No Bake Energy Bites

Ingredients:

• 1 cup (dry) oatmeal (I used old-fashioned oats)
• 2/3 cup toasted coconut flakes
• 1/2 cup peanut butter
• 1/2 cup ground flax seed
• 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips (or vegan chocolate chips)
• 1/3 cup honey or agave nectar
• 1 tablespoon chia seeds (optional)
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
